1. Plan Ahead and Prepare

  • Know the regulations and special concerns for the area you’ll visit.
  • Prepare for extreme weather, hazards, and emergencies.
  • Schedule your trip to avoid times of high use.
  • Visit in small groups when possible. Consider splitting larger groups into smaller groups.
  • Repackage food to minimize waste.
  • Use a map and compass to eliminate the use of marking paint, rock cairns or flagging.

Cool comics! Thanks for the reminder. Sadly, today a lot of travelers forget to check the weather update before leaving or simply risk going out even if there are typhoon warnings because everything has already been packed and prepared. Personally I think no place is that beautiful for someone to risk their life. But what do I know… I haven’t seen the rest of the world yet. 🙂

Hi Kat! Thanks for visiting my website. 🙂 I totally agree with you. Many unfortunate accidents related to travel can be easily avoided with proper preparation and planning. Sometimes, in our excitement to visit new places or try new things, we forget this. 🙁 I haven’t seen the rest of the world yet either, but hopefully, little by little, we’ll get there. 😉

I’ll be posting more comics every week. I hope you return for more. 🙂
