How to Beat the Summer Heat

As much as I would like to be travelling all the time, months can go by without me actually going anywhere — mostly due to insufficient funds, but also due to the fact that I like to be lazy during summer. For most people, summer is the best time to go to the beach, but for me, this time of year is all about rest and being lax, binge-watching The 100, and eating ice cream.

“But it’s so hot!” you say? Well, not if you have the new TCL TitanGold air conditioner. “But using an air conditioner all the time is expensive!” you say? Well, not if you don’t use it every minute of every day. There’s no need to fret about your electric bill because the TCL Titan Gold air conditioner reduces power consumption by up to 60%. Additionally, it is skillfully constructed with gold-plated aluminum fins and hydrophilic properties to resist corrosion. The product also has five health filters to provide cleaner indoor air. For those looking to invest in a quality air conditioner, check out this eco-friendly equipment.

If you’ve never heard of TCL, it’s a global electronic company that has been acknowledged by the IHS Technology as the third top brand in the international market as early as 2015.

Once you have secured your means of keeping cool — whether it be using an air conditioner, an electric fan, or some ice — here are a couple of things you can do at home during the summer:

Finally read those books you’ve been hoarding

My personal favorites are Haruki Murakami and Malcolm Gladwell. What better way to beat the summer heat than to lose yourself in a different time and place? Check out Murakami for fiction and Gladwell for nonfiction. You won’t regret it.

Make yourself comfortable and watch TV

If you’re going to watch your favorite movies or TV series, why not on a 50”, 55”, or 65” beautifully-designed television with quantum dot display technology? TCL, the top television exporter of China, has recently launched their latest QUHD TV Cityline 1 (C1), a slim and elegant product (to go with your TitanGold air conditioner hehe). Visit the official TCL website for more information.

Do some arts and crafts

There are countless DIYs you can do with recycled materials. And I mean there are LITERALLY countless DIYs. For inspiration, just visit the black hole that is Pinterest. I’ve been keeping my cereal boxes so I can make big 3D letters that spell out READ, TRAVEL, and WRITE. I’m almost done with READ, but I got distracted because did you know you could do this with tissue cardboard rolls?

Practice cooking simple meals or making cool desserts

If you are anything like me, then food is one of your top priorities. A girl’s gotta eat. And let’s face it, as much as we would love to eat out every day, it’s just not practical. So why not learn how to cook or make your favorite desserts? I don’t know about you, but I’m off to buy a blender so I can make an ice cream smoothie.

Those are just things off the top of my head, so if I think of anything else or if you have any suggestions, I’ll make sure to add it to the list!
