GET TO KNOW KAI ANGIWAN

The short version:

Kai is a 20-something workaholic with commitment issues and a short attention span. This moody cat-lover has a tendency to wander off for days at a time, only going home to sleep. What she lacks in consistency, she tries to make up for with wit and efficiency. She loves hearing from readers, so feel free to comment on her posts.

Shekinah Angiwan is a cat-loving, tree-hugging, mood swinging, obsessive-compulsive, insomniac, bookworm, lagalag, and mountaineer. Shekinah [she-KA-y-na] means “the glory of God” in Hebrew.

She graduated BA Communication — major in Speech Communication and minor in Journalism — at the University of the Philippines (UP) Baguio. She obtained additional Professional Education units at the Benguet State University, so she may take the Licensure Examination for Teachers, which she passed in March 2014. She is currently enrolled in the MA Creative Writing program — major in Creative Nonfiction — at UP Diliman.

Aside from writing, she likes to doodle as well as fiddle with digital art. She is also a member of the UP Baguio Mountaineers, one of the best environmental organizations ever. Anyone can join!

Her work history spans from 2011 to the present, from being the executive assistant of Cordillera Conservation Trust, an online English tutor for RareJob, an editor/transcriber for Trade Allies Transcription and Transcription Projects, a Snippet Writer for Thumbtack, a research assistant at the Cordillera Studies Center of UP Baguio, and now, a content specialist for Trend Micro Inc. That’s right. She has no idea where her life is going, so she’s taking random longcuts and having fun getting lost.

If you’re still reading, you now know many things about the author that she only shares with close friends and random people. Thank you very much for the interest. What started as a hobby has now turned into something more — driven by her passion for writing and the support of her loved ones and loyal readers.
